Love & Marriage

On Valentine’s Day my husband and I attended a married couple’s dinner hosted by our church family. Our table was of course the most vibrant as we were the “young couples table” or as I’ve been told frequently “the honeymooners”.  My point of view, there’s absolutely nothing wrong with that. I believe all married folks should keep the HONEY and the MOON.  Can I get a witness!!! (hands in the air).

Always celebrate the union, so let’s talk about SEX! Is that all a honeymoon is about?  NO, but it is important Great SEX = Great Marriage #bible.com (Hebrews 13:4 (KJV) )

For my ladies a few things you can do to make your marriage/sex life enjoyable:

·         Purchase him some flowers (it’s not a taboo men like flowers too)

·         A bath with rose petals and music

·         Give him a full body massage

·         NO Granny nightgowns, so if you can’t afford Victoria’s  Secret wear one of his dress shirt with some heels, your “birth day suit” or use rose petals to cover your private female organs (Do I need to write a Book …lol)

Places you can shop for inexpensive negligees:

·         Ross

·         TJmax

·         Marshalls

·         Target

·         Walmart

Don’t be afraid to be spontaneous and creative.

Did you say, I have a child or two, or three…???   Then find a trusted friend or family member to babysit and if all else fails, children do sleep right??? (nod your head and say yes!!)  NO EXCUSE!!
..so I am done preaching,  but I will leave you with this communication and spending quality time is a MUST if you want a successful marriage. Love each other unconditionally not only on society based holidays but EVERYDAY it is your duty! Read Books, find a trusted Counselor. There should be no excuse as to why you can not be the BEST SPOUSE YOU CAN BE! (Proverbs 12:15)

I enjoyed the fellowship with the brethren but fellowship after the fellowship can not be compared (You’ll get that one next year).

Peace, Love, &  Light!

Scriptures:
Marriage is honourable in all, and the bed undefiled: but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge.

A wise man will hear, and will increase learning; and a man of understanding shall attain unto wise counsels:

The way of a fool is right in his own eyes: but he that hearkeneth unto counsel is wise.

Hear counsel, and receive instruction, that thou mayest be wise in thy latter end.

I'M SO EXCITED!!!!!

Hello wonderful people! :) I am elated to announce that after four rigorous months of studying I've passed my Calculus Class! Yay me! I could not have done it without the support of my beloved husband, daughter, and to those who were praying my strength a BIG THANK YOU!!!

Nights when I felt like throwing in the towel and said "I'll take it next semester" my husband reassured me that I can do all things through Christ; my daughter would then add reinforcement  by saying "you can do it mommy, you always do your homework" at this point there's a smile on my face and a pep in my spirit giving me the strength to move forward.

I am writing this simply to say, whatever your challenges are you can overcome and if you feel like no one has your back read a few of my posts that will encourage you. Also you may contact me on Facebook, Twitter @PetronaKing , or Instagram @thepetronaking.  know I am cheering for you.

YOU CAN DO IT!

The journey is not over, I have much more to accomplish and so do you! Until next time my friends, Keep Going!

Love, Peace and God be With You!

Do Not Fail Yourself Before Trying

Hello good people, I do hope all is well with everyone! How is the new year treating you? (Really want to hear from you so leave your comments below).

Well, let me let you in on how it's been for me thus far; I didn't quite begin my workout routine as planned however, I did start and even though it's not what I imagined I'm going to keep it going because I can't wait to see the results. You know the anxiety that comes from you wanting  to see your six pack (even though I've been working out for two weeks) and the anticipation of having legs and arms like a dancer who's had years of practice. Is anyone else with me? We better get busy!!!

The year may have not started how you imagined, but remember we are not living a fairytale folks. Life is very much real; where hard work and dedication is required; I'm sorry if you may have thought differently, but let's get to it. You are blessed and want to see the manifestation of the blessings; well you got to keep moving into the promise land.

What is your promise land? (lose weight, start your own business, graduating from college/high school, staying organized, bookings, spending more time with God in meditation,  working on family time,  etc...)  Are you working towards getting there or just complaining through life's journey?

Be encouraged that even if you didn't start this year out the way you wanted; there is still time to get things moving. Just Don't Give UP!

I'm taking this calculus class this semester and I'm not bragging, however it is not as hard as I thought it would be. This statement is coming from someone who disliked the subject to a point where I put up a mind block against it and use to fail myself before the class began. long story short I passed both Statistics and College Algebra and now  Calculus (speaking things as though they were pray for me friends :-) ).  I said that to say this; at times a challenge may seem difficult but once you begin to do the work you realize it's not as "bad" as you thought it was going to be; nonetheless it's challenging.

Do not fail yourself before giving it a try. You deserve it.

God has made us Worthy.

A Great Family is Better than Medicine

If ever you're sick somehow seeing them smile makes it all better or at least the assurance that it will be OK; they make you anxious to see them after a long day at work or school. They give you courage to stand and when the world feels like it's on your shoulders they help to lift the load. They make you laugh uncontrollable, you know the kind of laughter that causes tears to form and your face to get red. When times get tough we love harder and attack the situation/problem together. When we pray together it's not only coming from our hearts but our souls, and our spirits agree with Heaven's Army, that  if God is for us, who can be against us? We were predestined by God for GREATNESS!

Nothing  can be compared as the results will always be un-equivalent.

Signed unconditional Love❤

Family Time- Make it Happen!!!

Time spent with family can never be enough for those of us who work a “9 to 5” it can be quite a challenge, but challenges were created to be conquered! You may ask, how do I find time to go on a vacation with my family or simply have quality time when I...?
  • Work Full-time
  • Go to School Full-time
  • Workout Full-time
  • Have a lot on my agenda
  • Work a 2nd Job in addition to one or all of which is mentioned above
Listed below is a few things we do in spending quality time:

1.       Game night *if you have children/child play games that incorporate their participation*
·         Monkey in the Middle (http://youtu.be/Fhr4KpZzdQ0)
·         Lego’s or building blocks and singing (http://youtu.be/yjACAsNy0fI)

*There are so many others just remember to make it fun (Google.com)*

2.       Movie night
3.       Cooking and having dinner together every evening (if this is not possible because schedule may conflict try breakfast even if it means waking up a little earlier)
 * WRONG OUTLOOK:  If my boss required me to come in earlier I would, but if my family wants me to wake up earlier to have breakfast or pray together I  can’t be bothered. In addition that would take away from my extra sleep for WORK (if this is you, this is the WRONG MINDSET).

IF YOU CAN WAKE UP EARLY TO GO TO WORK THEN YOU CAN WAKE UP EARLY TO SPEND SOME QUALITY TIME WITH THE ONES YOU LOVE*

4.       Reading Time (Bible story, favorite children book etc…)
5.       Sports Day (work out together it can be as little as 15 – 30 minutes)
6.       Take a mini vacation with your family.
7.       Go to the beach or a day at the park

You work hard so treat yourself and most importantly treat your family they deserve it as much as you do!As for me and my family we had a blast in Orlando this weekend!!! Quality time spent with my lovely husband and daughter PRICELESS!!! LOVE THEM!

Do Not Compromise Form

Drenched in sweat, heart pounding, triceps, and biceps feeling like they’re on fire, and work out attire is soaked as if someone poured a bucket of water on me. These are the signs that you’ve just had a FANTASTIC workout! Challenging but the feeling of accomplishment supersedes it all.

The highlight of tonight’s workout was the trainer reiterating “never compromise form” “take a break but do not compromise the form”. Now, I am going to need you to follow me for a bit because this is going to bless you (in my preacher voice lol).  From experience in compromising the form of my workout I ended up feeling more exhausted in comparison to when I kept the form and rested then continued. In doing so I began to see the benefits immediately (results may vary based on your body and how you lose or gain muscle mass/weight, so don’t be discouraged if you don’t see it right way).
My point is simply this, “Don’t Compromise Form” in whatever you do, if you are a dancer then don’t stop dancing, if you are a singer keep on singing, if you are a writer, preacher, photographer, model, designer, etc… KEEP ON GOING!!! When you get tired, take a break which means to stop for a minute to catch your breath (cool off), but then continue. Do not allow tiredness to get the best of you, do not try to take any short cuts if you want to be the Greatest, there is nothing that should detour you. It takes discipline in order to get the right results/benefits.
DO NOT COMPROMISE FORM!!

Enjoy this video and stay encouraged:

Fearless & Move Forward

One of the joys of parenthood is watching your child grow, I look at my daughter who is now a year old and think "wow it seems like just a few days ago I was holding you,  and feeding you". Now she is capable of feeding herself and next she will be potty training etc...

I  can almost see her a few years from now  maturing into this wonderful, ambitious young lady. I must admit the thought of your child being independent is "bitter sweet". Therefore, I cherish each and every moment because it won't last forever and at the rate she is going it won't even last a day. Each day it's something new PROGRESSION and I LOVE IT!!!

Like a child who is not afraid to utilize their ability to grow nor try something new that's how an adult should think "I have the capability so why not"

I DARE YOU to learn something new, try something new, and most of all be YOU don't try to be anyone else and that my friends is progression!

Isaiah 41:10
So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
